I’m thrilled to share something new with you all: starting today, I’m opening up a Subscriber Chat for The Digital Shift community! 🎉 We recently passed 100 subscribers (thank you for being here!), and I wanted to mark the moment with something more interactive, a place for us to talk with each other, not just me talking at you.
If you haven’t used Substack chats, it’s a conversation space exclusively for subscribers. Think of it as a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post questions and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion by replying to the chat.
Here’s how it works:
Where: The Subscriber Chat lives right inside the Substack app (download it if you haven’t already). New chat threads won’t be sent via email, so turn on push notifications to stay up-to-date on conversations as they happen. You can also access chat on the web.
When: I’ll post a new chat prompt every Friday to spark conversation. If you have ideas for Friday prompts, feel free to share them in the comments section, include them in your chat introduction, or send me a message.
Who: Both free and paid subscribers can join in. I’ll be the one posting prompts, but you’ll be able to reply and engage with each other.
How: Once you’re subscribed to my Substack, simply open the Substack app, tap the Chat icon in the bottom bar (which looks like two bubbles), and you’ll see a row for my chat along with other Substacks you subscribe to.
Code of Conduct
This space is intended for conversation, reflection, and perhaps some debate. To ensure it remains welcoming for all, here are a few simple cultural norms:
Be respectful of each other’s perspectives, even when you disagree.
Share ideas, experiences, and resources generously.
Keep the conversation on-topic and constructive.
For our very first chat, I invite you to introduce yourselves and share with me what brought you here. I look forward to hearing your stories and learning more about the community we’re building together.
So, download the Substack app if you don’t already have it, join the Subscriber Chat, and let’s get talking. And if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
